Kinetic DX+ Launched Rs 1.27 Lakh, 132km Range - kinetic dx
The Kinetic DX+ is priced at Rs 1,27,650 and claims a certified range of 132 km.

Kinetic DX+ 3.1 kWh arrives with a larger LFP pack and a price tag of Rs. 1,27,650 (ex‑showroom), promising up to 132 km on paper.

Pricing and claimed range

The upgraded version sits about nine thousand rupees above the standard Kinetic DX 3 kWh, which costs Rs. 1,18,599. The manufacturer states the new battery delivers a certified IDC range of 132 km, while real‑world testing shows between 105 and 110 km per charge.

Both models qualify for festive incentives: a Rs. 3,000 discount on the upgraded scooter and a Rs. 2,000 cut on the base model. Buyers also receive an Rs. 8,999 extended warranty, a Rs. 5,000 Amazon cashback and a similar amount as a PM E‑Drive benefit.

The price positioning places the DX+ in a competitive segment where electric two‑wheelers are gaining traction among urban commuters seeking lower operating costs.

Consumers appreciate the blend of performance and affordability, which has driven steady growth in the segment.

Technical specifications

The heart of the upgraded scooter is a hub‑mounted brushless DC motor rated at 3.8 kW peak power. Charging from zero to 80 % takes roughly three hours, aided by a retractable cable that comes as standard.

Charging is quick and convenient.

Regenerative braking, branded as K‑Coast Tech, harvests energy during deceleration. Riders can toggle between Range and Power modes to suit distance or speed needs.

According to the filing, the battery type is a lithium‑iron‑phosphate cell, which tends to be more stable than some alternatives.

In practice, this means commuters who travel short distances can expect fewer charging stops, while longer trips still require planning around the 110 km realistic ceiling.

Owners can plug the scooter into a standard household outlet, making home charging straightforward without specialized infrastructure. The three‑hour charge window fits well with typical workday schedules.

Features and storage

The scooter retains the all‑metal body associated with the brand, sits on 12‑inch tubeless tyres front and rear, and offers a ground clearance of 165 mm. The wheelbase measures 1,315 mm, and the seat is 714 mm long.

Its braking is handled by a 220 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear drum. An under‑seat compartment provides 37 litres of storage, enough for daily items without crowding the rider.

The generous compartment can hold a helmet, a small bag, or grocery items, adding practicality to daily rides.

Safety features such as the disc‑drum braking combination and the anti‑slip tyre profile contribute to stable handling on city streets. Combined with the disc‑drum system, the model offers reliable stopping power even in wet conditions.

Additional equipment includes park‑assist with reverse, telematics, IP67 water and dust protection, and a one‑touch pillion footrest that flips up when not needed.

The model is available in Black, Silver, Blue, White and Red, while the standard version comes only in Black or Silver. Each shade is finished with a UV‑resistant coating to preserve appearance.

The extended warranty covers major components for two years, reducing long‑term maintenance worries for buyers.

The upgraded DX+ will be on sale starting October 15, 2026.
